Volcanoes National Park
Located in northern Rwanda, about 90 minutes drive from Kigali Capital. Is a home to the endangered mountain gorillas with about 10 gorilla families habituated today. Apart from gorilla trekking, other tour activities golden monkey tracking, adventurous hike to Dian Fossey Tombs, cultural excursions, local community tours, Mt. Mt. Bisoke & Karisimbi
At 4,705m above Sea Level, Mt Karisimbi is the highest peak in the Virunga Range, the highest point in Ruanda. Mount. Karisimbi climbing is a fantastic experience but should only be tackled by experienced and fit hikers. The climb does not involve any mountaineering skills and will typically take two days while Mt. Nyungwe National Park
Located in south western Uganda, 5-6 hour drive from Kigali Capital. Is a home to 13 primate species, one of the highest concentration in Africa. Activities include chimpanzee tracking, Black and white colobus monkey tracking, canopy walk, bird watching, tea harvesting, community tours and forest walks. Genocide Memorials
In 1994, Rwanda experienced a bloody moment which was characterized by mass killing of hundreds and thousands of natives. The civil war between the Tutsi and Hutu left Rwanda’s population very low due to massive loss of lives on either side. At the end of the war, a number of genocide memorial centers cropped up and among which include Gisozi genocide museum in Kigali, Murambi, Bisesero, Nyamata and Ntarama among others. Read More
Akagera National Park
Located in Eastern part of Rwanda on Tanzania boarder, about 3 hour drive from Kigali capital, and 5 hours drive from Volcanoes National park, a home for the endangered mountain gorillas. Akagera National Park is famous for big game viewing to catch animals like Elephants, antelopes and zebras as well as lions that were re-introduced in 2015 from south Africa.
