Maasai Mara National park is located in Southwest of Kenya, covering an area of 1 510 square km, the Masai Mara National Reserve. The Masai Mara National Reserve was named for the Maasai people who inhabit the area and for the Mara River, which flows through this great reserve. Masai Mara National Park shares a border with Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park and is essentially a continuation of this park,
The nearness forms the Serengeti-Mara ecosystem. In addition to the abundant wildlife in the reserve, no Masai Mara safari would be complete without a cultural experience with the Maasai people.
The Maasai Mara wildlife Reserve is globally famous for its exceptional high population of Masai lions, Tanzanian cheetahs, African leopards and the annual migration of zebras, Thomson's gazelle, and wildebeest to and from the Serengeti every year from July to October, known as the Great Migration.

Below is the proposed itinerary combining Masai mara wildlife tour and gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park Rwanda;
Day 1: Arrival in Kenya, Nairobi City tour, dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Transfer to Masai Mara National Reserve, lunch and afternoon game drive or visit masai village, dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Full Day Masaimara Exploration (Hot Air Ballooning and Game drive)
Day 4: Return to Nairobi for your scheduled flight to Kigali-Rwanda, dinner and overnight in Kigali.
Day 5: Kigali city tour, visit Gisozi genocide memorial site, local art and craft shops, lunch and drive to Volcanoes National Park (2hrs), dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Gorilla Tracking adventure, evening community walk to Musanze town or visit Iby'Iwacu cultural village.
Day 7: Optional Activities: We do a second gorilla trek, golden monkey tracking or hike to Dian Fossey Tombs, drive back to Kigali for your departure flight, or overnight.
