Its located on the edge of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park which lies in the southwestern Uganda. Its mist-covered hillside are blanketed by one of Uganda's oldest and most biologically diverse rain forests almost 400 species of plants. More famously, this impenetrable forest also protects and estimate 320 mountain Gorillas - roughly half of the world's population, including several habituated groups, which can be tracked.
From Entebbe, you can reach the Lodge after 8-9hrs drive and 3-4hrs drive from Kigali on tarmac road. You can as well reach the park by flying from Entebbe Airport to Kisoro Air strip which is 1hr away from the Lodge.
From Rwanda, travel from KIgali to cynika boarder then proceed to Kisoro town and continue to Rubuguli and on to Rushaga where the Lodge is located.
Activities done while at Rushaga Gorilla Camp include community tour, Birding, Nature walk, Boat ride at Lake Mutanda and so on.
