The two terms move hand in hand or they are complementary where by tourism becomes difficult without transport.
What is meant by tourism?
Tourism is the act of moving from one place to another for adventure purpose or discovery reason. Some people travel for study purposes, business among others.

It is the act of moving people and commodities from one place to another.
Means of transport
There are four major means of transport; Water transport, Air transport, Railway transport and Road transport.
Water Transport
It’s meant to move people and their commodities on water by a water vessel like ship, ferry, canoe, boat and so on.
Advantages of water transport
It is cheap compared to other mean of transport like Air transport
It enables traveler view water loving animals, birds and land forms formed on water bodies.
Water transport widens government taxes – the water vessel pay for licenses and the captain too. Such taxes are used to develop other sectors and infrastructures like schools, hospitals roads among others.

Challenges of water transport
Water transport is affected by storms, waves, rapids which sometimes cause accidents.

It involves moving people and their commodities by road. Cars, motor bike and so on are used.
Advantages of Road transport
It is flexible to reach anywhere and you can hire privately.

Maintenances of road vehicles is affordable – spare parts are readily available.
Not time tabled so travelers can move at any time of the year.
Road transport can be used privately – cars and motor bike are affordable to buy.
Disadvantages of Road transport
It can be easily attacked by highway robbers
