3 Day Uganda Wildlife Tour - Murchison Falls National Park
This is a short Uganda wildlife tour to Murchison Falls National Park. This park is located in northwestern and it features as Uganda’s biggest protected area. It extends up to 3840 kilometers and bisected by the mighty River Nile which flows about 115 kilometers within the protected area boundaries and feeds Lake Albert and the Albert Nile. Murchison Falls Conservation Area is made up of Bugungu and Karuma Wildlife Reserves and in total this protected area extends up to 5308 square kilometers. This safari includes rhino tracking in the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, boat cruise along the River Nile then to the bottom of Murchison Falls, wildlife viewing to spot out most of the park’s big five game in Africa, birds, antelopes, hippos, Nile crocodiles and many more.

Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Kampala - Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary - Murchison Falls N.P
Early in the morning after breakfast, you will be picked by one of our experienced driver guides ready to set off to Murchison Falls National Park about 311 kilometers, approximately five hours’ drive. While on the way, you will have a chance to sight at the magnificent flat landscapes of central Uganda as well as Nakasongola prior branching to Nakitoma about seven kilometers then link to the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Once you arrive at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, you will set off for the most captivating rhino tracking to spot out the 50 southern white rhinos both adults and young ones. A visit to this sanctuary allows you to have a complete list of the big five game in Uganda. After, you will connect to Murchison Falls National Park where you will have dinner and a night over at Paraa Safari Lodge, Baker's Lodge, Bwana Tembo safari Camp, Pakuba Safari Lodge, Heritage Safari Lodge or camping.
Day 2: Game drives in the morning and afternoon boat cruise
Early in the morning you will have breakfast and after you will be briefed about wildlife viewing safari in Murchison Falls National Park. You will then set off to the northern bank for your long awaited game drive which will last for about 3 to 4 hours. While on game drive, the prime wildlife species for you to spot out include the big four of the big five game (leopards, lions, elephants, buffaloes) as well as numerous antelope families, giraffes and many bird species including the bee eater, elusive shoebill stork, cormorants. After, you will return to your respective lodge for lunch and then set off for an exciting launch cruise at 2:00pm to the bottom of the mighty Murchison Falls along the mighty River Nile. While on boat cruise you will spot out most of the hippos, crocodiles, and many aquatic birds. After your two hours’ launch cruise, you will return to the lodge of Day 1 for relaxation, dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Visit the top of the Great Murchison Falls and return to Kampala
You will have breakfast early in the morning and after you cross to the southern part of the park using a ferry to Murchison Falls. This waterfall features as one of the world’s most powerful waterfalls and a glimpse at it rewards visitors with the most dramatic experiences as the River Nile squeezes itself into a narrow gorge of 7 meters prior falling below 43 meters what is best described as a devil’s cauldron making a plume of spray and a permanent rainbow. After, you will return to Kampala which will make the end of your 3 days wildlife safari in Murchison Falls National Park and along the way, you may have stunning views of River Kafu.
